Okay, it’s been a while.

A lot has been going on, seriously, a LOT!

* I’m engaged and yes, to ‘Big’

* I have moved out of my parents house and in with my darling fiance

* Starting a new job on Tuesday, Insurance call centre, not sure how thats gonna go but I’m being positive.

* We have given Big’s cat Janos to my good cousin Hollie to look after and he’s being spoiled rotten, thank God he’s out of here and his fur is out of my lungs!

* Me and Big have two new pets, there’s Casper at 8 Months old:

We’re pretty sure Poppy’s a girl but at such a young age it’s not a guarantee, you need to wait until they’re older to get be 100% certain but she has the smaller head and tail base that female’s usually have.  We just got her a week ago, Casper we’ve had since he was Poppy’s size.

Yep, since going on my last little rant I still went out and got an IPhone. Yes the camera quality is poor (as per the above pic) and a Xenon-Hyper-Brite flash might help but it’s the net capability that counts and this is what I’m using right now to do this post.

How did I aquire this one might ask, well it wasn’t easy but what important mission ever is? Was it easy for Hercules when he killed Medusa or did Andecles find it a doddle to tame the lion?

No, and nor was it easy for poor Nicola to get a Pay-and-go IPhone to use on her contract line. It worked…well the phone, text and Ipod part, the rep tried to sweet talk me into keeping it as they hadn’t enough in the till to refund my £400.

I doubt he realised I already have 4 Ipods, one of which is a touch and got a bit of a shock when I let him finish his speil before letting him know that as the IPod angle is moot, I am not paying that price for a device that has only the basic function of a £20 phone. I eventually got my (sister’s) money back when Big offered to take over my contract and freeing me to take out a new one, I headed straight for a different O2 store. I shelled out just £60 for the 16G model and I have never been happier. I gave Big the Touch (a lot of touching) as a thank u and we are expecting a new arrival in July, a bouncing baby IPhone upgrade for him.

I’m tired people, tired of the constant attempts by ‘big business’ to strong arm people into wanting a product simply because they can’t actually buy it when it launches.  I’ll admit that I am an Apple afficianado, I love my Mac, have four IPods and seriously considered getting the logo tattoo’d on my bum for a time but now, now I’m just annoyed and disgusted.

On the day of launch the online store was sold out, all O2 shops had like 30 phones with about 80 people queuing outside and if you were chosen person enough to get one, ITunes shut down, the one program essential to get the IPhone running and it croaks due to ’server overload’.  I don’t imagine there were too many IPhones actually trying to sync up in the first place due to the shortage of supply but there you go, sweet move.

I’ll bet the vultures are really circling the ebay carcass right about now and I’m sorry but if you can afford to shell out £1000 for an item that in about five months will cost £100 then you are too damn stupid to have that much money!

As for me, I’m exhausted, between the Wii hunt and the IPod Touch search I’m done being frustrated and annoyed with not being able to get what when I want it so I got something else, a 5 Megapixel Camera Phone with 3G, slapping the IPhone’s scrawny 2 Megapixel offering, has bluetooth (which the IPhone doesn’t).  Getting it on Monday.  I MIGHT get an IPhone next year as a contract upgrade, IF the camera improves and I don’t feel that Jobs is still deliberately crippling his product to squeeze more money from those wanting a slightly better phone than they already have.

Yes people, all those months ago I told of my mission to land a full time job, pay my overdraft and buy a new Mac and I can happily say that all three of those goals have been achieved.  I am now the proud owner of a 24″ Imac with 4GB of RAM, just got it today and as much as I’d love to hang about and gush, I have a LOT of transferring to do.

This kind of thing has always intrigued me, ghosts, ghouls and monsters, ever since I was little.  The below photo has taken by a friend of Big’s so it’s not a trick photo that’s being passed around.  It wasn’t until the guy looked at the photo’s on his camera.

It’s right at the bottom, between second and third girl from the left’s legs.  It’s quite faint though.

Okay, so Mum didn’t want all this arguing to keep going so I was strong-armed into making up with my sister as she really didn’t mean to annoy me, she just doesn’t know any better *loops eyes* whatever.  She’s 28 with two kids and a manager’s job.  But bury the hatchet I shall.

Anything for a quiet life eh?
